Here at XAT we have been hard at work on our new project.
400SX says it all. We have taken one of the best import V8 engines of all time and worked it into the 240sx.
The engine is a 4.0 liter all aluminum Quad Cam V8 that is rated as one of the best engines on the market by car and driver. Who cares what those guys say, we want it for the power and TQ it makes. weighing in at 400 pounds for the engine alone it is not too heavy for the 240sx.
Our solution to the transmission is to use the R154 5 speed transmission! No cutting and welding here, we use 6061 aluminum adapter plate that is cnc'd to our spec to perfectly mount the transmission to the engine.
Accessories
This is the missing link for doing the 1UZ swap or simply adding a manual transmission to your 1uz. Made from 6061 aluminum. Our builder mills the plate into an extremely precise adapter. The design has a central locating ring to ensure perfect alignment of the engine to transmission. If you are using our complete setup add the throw out bearing adapter from the drop down menu.
