Here's a well loved car that was enjoyed and cared for very well through it's life with 132,600 miles on it. This is the only Touring spec car we have brought over so far, and we're reluctant to watch it leave, as the Touring is a special sportier version of the Crown. It's closer really in feel and driving to a Chaser/Mark II than a Crown! The X90 underpinnings of this car are very evident. I've actually had this car for a whole year now and never had anything remotely close to a mechanical problem with it.
The Royal Touring got its own dedicated (and very 90s patterned) dark cloth interior, manual adjusted seats, Toyota's first 5 speed automatic (A350E, based on the A340E that came in almost every RWD Toyota from the 80s on to the late 90s), factory Bilstein shocks, and better steering feedback from the regular Royal Saloons.
Since this is a zenki JZS155, this car serves as arguably the best platform to start off with for boost: GE head for better flow and easier manifold installation, VVTi for more torque, yet is the only VVTi 2JZGE engine to have turbo rods, MAP instead of MAF for easier boosting, cable driven throttle instead of drive by wire mess, 3.91 rear end (same as the Mk3 Supra 87-88), etc.
This particular one seems to have had some transmission mods, as it shifts slightly stiffer and definitely slightly quicker.
This Touring, as with all of our cars, has been cleaned inside and out thoroughly. The seats and carpet have been shampooed and vacuumed. The paint has been washed, clay barred, and polished, and we did our best to restore this car as close to new as possible. For anyone wanting OEM ride quality with sporty handling, the factory Bilsteins still work wonderfully. But this car is also ready for coilovers, and we can install them for you if you'd like!
Also included on this was the dealer optioned air purifier. In the center console, you will find controls for the rear air cleaner, and in the listing you will see pics as well as where the filter is located in the trunk for easy service. The filter is clean and plenty good to go for the foreseeable future!
Like other Royal cars, this one includes all 4 power windows, power swinging A/C vents, auto A/C, center console storage, power adjusting and folding mirrors, and since it's a Touring spec, genuine leather steering wheel and shifter! This one has a bonus Nakamichi 6 CD in dash changer built in as well.
It's not perfect, as there are bits of clearcoat missing on the hood. The rear bumper has some touchup paint on it, and there's a slight dent in the passenger front lower door. But fortunately, the good outweighs the bad big time with this one!
