Why isn't everyone running a 3UR?! After tearing one down and analyzing the engine top to bottom, we've really come to appreciate the level of engineering that has gone into these engines. It's no wonder they were made for over 15 years! We feel they're extremely underrated, and they also respond especially well to supercharging.
XAT has been building 3URs and developing new parts for years for customers worldwide. We pride ourselves with taking the time to correctly assemble and rebuild every engine, knowing them inside and out. We also are excited to build more and more of these for boost, as our daily driven Whipple supercharged Tundra has become an entirely different beast with forced induction.
Every engine gets hand built to order. Not everyone has the same goals or budget in mind, so we have built everything from mild to wild, including an all out 6.8 liter bored and stroked version!
You will need to send us your engine, or you can use one of our supplied cores.
Our "base" engine build handles 800 HP reliably, but we do have a variety of options that you should also consider. If you're not sure if you want them, keep in mind that it's much easier to spend a few extra bucks while we have it and it's apart, than it is to go back in later and add these parts!
Base build includes fully assembled engine, ready to drop in:
- BC ARP2000 rods
- Manley pistons, 10.0:1 compression ratio
- Full OEM new engine gasket kit
- All new timing parts (chain, guides, tensioners, etc.)
- ACL rod/main bearings, OEM thrust washer
- Block honing with torque plate
- Hot tanked engine
- XAT modified high performance oil pump
- Ported heads
- Valve job
- ARP head studs
- Heads bolted to block, timing set
