  • NON-VVTI 1UZ-FE Front Water Crossover kit

    Please keep in mind these are made to order with a build time of 4-6 weeks

    This is a solution to avoid the supercharger belt when running a positive displacement blower on a 1UZ non-VVTi engine  It uses the factory mounting location without the need of shim; the bolts are easy to access. It can accommodate two sensors. The bypass goes from next to the thermostat to the inlet. The crossover tube is made out of aluminum using an additive manufacturing process called SLM. The adapters are manufactured using 6061 T4 aluminum. It comes with 180° thermostat for a Porsche and the -6 AN bypass line is made from aeroflow components.

    Our "standard" UZ Toyota V8 build has no problem holding 800 HP, but we also have options to do well over 1000+ HP!!

    Standard short block build does not include heads (optional extras) but includes:

    We've been doing UZs for well over a decade, so we know these engines inside and out. We also know the importance of being able to customize your build and have the flexibility to run exactly what your budget allows.

    Before pistons are ordered, we inspect the block's condition and advise what sized pistons will be needed. This does not change the price, however you ideally will want as much cylinder wall thickness as possible, as that will hold power better, and it will give you room in the future to rebuild again if need be.

    We also always use our in house torque plate to properly stress the block as with a head installed

    Unlike other builders that order the pistons and drop them in, we make sure each bore correctly matches up with each specific piston! This is done to maximize fitment and sealing, which leads to more power and less blow-by.

    Please note this does not include the core charge. We can easily source an engine for you, or you can send yours to us for building. We've built countless engines over the years and shipped them worldwide, including multiple builds making more than 1000 horsepower. 

    This listing is for a build short block, which does not include, long block assembly, setting the cam timing, installing the heads, setting the valve lash, head studs, valvetrain, etc. We can do a full build including those things as well, just let us know what your goals are and budget is!

    Although it's not ideal, we do have a custom made to order plug n play harness we can make for your 89-97 1UZ equipped car (SC400, LS400, etc.). The Link G4X AtomX ECU is made to run minimal inputs/outputs as a budget standalone option for 4 cylinder vehicles, however it is possible to use this same box to run batch fire injectors, and wasted spark ignition on a V8 like a 1UZ. Link even has a sample map in their PCLink software to speed up the process!

    As an official Link ECU dealer, we can also supply the Atom itself, and any ancillary sensors you may need!

    Please note the Atom is not currently capable of controlling the IAC valve, so you will have to run without one or find other ways to control idle. This is for manual transmission applications only. If you intend on keeping the auto transmission, you would need to run an external transmission controller, manual valve body, or find another way to control it.

  • XAT Racing 1UZ V8 Billet CD009 Adapter Plate UZ series for 1UZFE to Nissan 6 Speed 2UZ 3UZ

    Made in the USA! When we took a look at the previous generation of adapter plates, all we could see was room for improvement and higher quality. We wanted a plate that would mount PERFECTLY with zero slop. It needed to look good and perform even better. DON'T get stuck with an overvalued, sloppy plate that ends up costing you input shafts and has poor fitment. You can go with a less expensive alternative and end up with broken parts, or you can do it right the first time with us! No complaints with over 5 years of service.

    This billet aluminum adapter plate reuses your factory 4 speed or 5 speed auto UZ bellhousing (1990-2004). It will require you to cut off the CD009 bellhousing, which gives MUCH more room to work with in most chassis. Alignment of the input shaft becomes dependent on this plate and not the quality of the bell housing cut, so worry not! This isn't like other kits out there. NO additional hardware/starter modification is required!

    2005+ 6 speed auto bellhousings will not fit with this adapter. 

    Regardless of which clutch you use, you will need to use the Quarter Master throw out bearing. 

    With single disc clutch setups, this kit is designed to use our custom flywheel that uses off the shelf "Z32 turbo" (89-96 Nissan 300ZX twin turbo) clutches, which are inexpensive, readily available, and hold power well. 

    Please see the listing below for the flywheel needed. Please note that with a single disc clutch, this requires a proprietary flywheel. OUR "OEM STYLE" AND "LIGHTWEIGHT" XAT FLYWHEELS WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS TRANSMISSION. You will need the specific CD009 flywheel made for this application.

    The twin disc setups include their own flywheel, but will also need a ring gear for the starter (the OEM auto flex plate)

    Included with purchase on this listing:

    • Adapter plate with hardware to install
    • Quill tube for mounting the hydraulic throw out bearing
    • Pilot bushing adapter, with bushing installed
    • Throw out bearing (optionally)

    XAT Racing took a hard look at the concept, and decided to go all in with the "Toyota Big-Block" design. These V12s have started becoming more popular over the past few years! This will fit all versions of this transmission: CD001, CD003, CD005, CD008, CD009, JK41A, JK41B, JK40C, 1EA0A, and 1EA0B from the 2003-2008 Nissan 350Z/Fairlady Z, 2009-2020 370Z, Skyline V35 and V36 non-GTR sedan and coupe, and Infiniti G35 and G37 

    Our products are CAD designed with OEM blocks and transmissions on professional equipment by industry professionals. No bad measurements, no flame cuts, no warped discs, no nonsense. You should be using a 3/4" master cylinder in tandem with the TOB we use.

    This is the missing link for doing a 1UZFE swap, or simply adding a manual transmission to your Toyota V8. Our CNC process for manufacturing the plate results in an extremely precise adapter plate, laser tight tolerances, and a focus on quality that has yielded a product that will produce less wear on the transmission and clutch. The adapter kits come with the needed pilot adapter and bushing as well. This is the tried and true kit from XAT Racing, except no imitations when it comes to Toyota V8s

    Introducing V2 of the popular high mount supercharger manifolds to suit the non-VVTI Toyota / Lexus 1UZ-FE V8 engine! As with the previous model, this supercharger manifold will bolt to the factory lower intake manifold and includes all mounting fasteners, and a top plate to suit one of 3 Eaton superchargers.

    These units are now CNC machined from billet 6061 aircraft grade aluminum, media blasted and anodized black. They have added a landing on the underside where the user can drill and tap up to 3 x 1/8 NPT ports.

    Note that they have designed the intake ports to be slightly oversized to allow for port matching to your lower manifold. Although not necessary, we do recommend it.

    These units are perfect if you are building on a budget or if you just want that look of having a charger popping out of the hood. The overall setup does sit higher than the factory upper intake manifold once a charger is fitted.

    Good, affordable alternative to the other manifolds on the market!

    The 1UZ sports market is rapidly growing by leaps and bounds! Kelford realizes the need for ultra high performance and quality cams. Sizing ranges from mild street 264, all the way to insane, full built, ITB's, high comp, race motor 294 duration. For added revs, you will need our shimless conversion with buckets and new valves, but at this stage you can turn the heads well past 8K rpm. If you are building a stock engine with cams, full exhaust, piggyback or stand alone ECU you can use up to the 270 without having to go shimless, but you will need our upgraded valve-springs.

    The manifold features a unique 2 piece design which has helped us get the units as low and as tight as possible, the upper and lower halves are held together by 4 x zinc plated countersunk fasteners and sealed using 3mm EPDM cord to make sure boost pressure stays where it needs to.     The core features CNC machined end tanks that seal to the inside of the manifold using nitrile o-rings and secured to the body using 2 x M8 fasteners.

    This manifold has been designed to suit the factory 1UZ injectors or any aftermarket replacements that suit the non VVTI 1UZ’s.

  • Cometic UZ Head Gaskets 1UZ 2UZ 3UZ MLS Multi Layer Steel

    In most cases, we recommend 1.3mm head gaskets on 1UZ/3UZ (1.0mm on 2UZ), and if you are running custom compression aftermarket forged pistons. If you are keeping the stock pistons and looking to lower the compression ratio for more boost, we recommend a thicker head gasket such as 2mm. This is for BOTH head gaskets. We use factory OEM head gaskets when possible.

    The 1UZ version of the head gaskets is specifically for the non-VVTi engine and does not surround the oil port going to the VVTi solenoids


    Please keep in mind some sizes are exclusively made to order nowadays and will have a 1-2+ month wait time. The OEM head gaskets are more readily available.

    Cometic Head Gaskets are developed with the performance enthusiast in mind. With so many individual requirements for each engine, Cometic offers a number of options to suit your specific build and needs.

    The Cometic MLS gasket is comprised of three layers of Stainless Steel. Cometic uses Stainless steel for increased strength, its ability to rebound, and corrosion resistance. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a flouroelastomer rubber based material (Viton) designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. The Viton coating is heat resistant to 2500C or 4820F.

    The center or shim layer of the gasket is comprised of an uncoated Stainless Steel layer, which can be varied to accommodate multiple thickness requirements. The MLS gasket is ideal for both aluminum heads to cast iron blocks and aluminum heads to aluminum blocks.

    The composition of MLS will also withstand the shearing forces created by aluminum heads on cast iron blocks. No re-torque is necessary. By design the MLS gasket promotes an even torque load across the sealing surface allowing for measurable reduced bore distortion.

    C4136 and C4137 offer a standard bore size of 92.5mm. C4211 and C4212 offer a standard bore size of 98mm

    Looking to delete that power steering pump and go electric? We've got you covered! These are custom made, in house designed, machined in the USA (as all of our products are), and ready to go.

    Included is the billet piece and the pulley. This will bolt up to your factory power steering mount bracket. The size of the pulley is the same as the top idler pulley. Depending on what else you may be doing, you may need to use a different belt size. Best way to check size needed is to use a piece of string to route around and measure the length needed.

    As it turns out, not all UZ power steering pulleys are the same! Some of them are not serviceable. Additionally, the 98+ (VVTi and all 2UZ engines) use a different style pulley from the earlier cars.

    Please note some UZ V8s come with a fixed, press on pulley to their power steering pump. If you have one of these, you will need to swap your power steering pump for one that has a hex nut retained serviceable pulley. We strongly recommend checking what you have before ordering, and feel free to reach out to us with any questions. They are otherwise interchangeable and not too difficult to source!

    A simple, clean installation for your 1UZ swap! These blockoff plates are for the 89-97 1UZFE engines (LS400, SC400) and bolt on to the intake plenum. Get rid of all the stuff you're not using and clean up your build!

    There's a few ways of deleting EGR from a non-VVTi setup. Our block off plate goes on the intake manifold itself. If you put it in between the intake manifold and the upper pipe, everything else can stay as it is. Otherwise you would ideally weld the header flange shut to stop any potential leaks there, and then you can remove the piping system entirely.

  • XAT 1UZ Torque Plate all UZ Engines Hone Plate EXCLUSIVE 2UZ 3UZ

    We offer an exclusive UZ engine torque plate for those that want to properly hone the cylinders on their Toyota/Lexus V8s! These fit all UZ engines with factory sleeves.

    Any serious engine builder will tell you that you need a torque plate in order to provide a similar stress pattern on the block that it experiences with the head on the block.

    Some builders even go as far as putting an old head gasket between the block and plate, then go through a standard Toyota pattern for torquing down the bolts/studs.

    This is a precision machined torque plate, manufactured out of 2.0" (50.8mm) thick 6061 T6 aluminum (precision CNC'd by our own machine shop in the USA). Aluminum was chosen, as it best replicates stress and strain coefficients of expansion during torquing that the factory aluminum head does.

    It has an overbore that will allow for plenty of room for honing and boring as possible, so if you are building a setup with stock or slightly larger bore, you won't have an issue.

    They also get shipped in a sturdy container for protection.

    These are quite possibly the only ones on the market anywhere, so instead of charging up to $800+ for these units, we thought we would bring it to the market for a reasonable price!!

    You can expect one to ship next day typically, as we have one on the shelf at all times!

    These are available for shipment outside the USA if required as well!

    A torque or honing plate is critical when doing the hone/bore process on any engine build, especially those that will be running a boosted setup and ARP head studs. Performance studs are typically torqued at much higher values than standard OEM studs, which causes a deflection in the cylinders if not using a torque plate.

    We are also offering a rental service to use the ARP head studs that can be shipped with the plate. If you go this option, you will also be charged $15 to rent them, which we will subtract from the deposit once it is returned to us. Rental service is for 1 week only. Made in the USA!

  • XAT UZ Billet Pulleys 1UZ 2UZ 3UZ Aluminum Pulley Kit Set


    NOW IN STOCK, READY TO SHIP!

    The initial test batch has been finalized, mounted, and confirmed for fitment! The display pieces are natural silver, but the finished product will be anodized black or anodized clear (silver). 

    Assorted UZ engines use different pulleys depending on generation and chassis, but any pulleys that arent a direct replacement for your setup are easily fixed.

    Full set of pulleys weigh just 2 lbs and 6 oz! Depending on your application, that's a savings of 1 lb 6 oz over stock!

    Included pulleys, one of each:

    • Power steering: this should fit all UZ engines, however some UZ V8s do not have serviceable power steering pump pulleys. They are pressed on instead of retained with a nut on the front. If you intend on using the XAT pulley, you will have to swap out your power steering pump for one with the retaining nut on the front. Please note that the diameter of your original pulley may be different from the XAT pulley supplied, which is factory 3UZ size, and may be preferable for your application to have it overdriven or underdriven slightly at any rate.
    • Tensioner idler: fits UZ VVTi engines. Slightly different from 1UZ non-VVTi engines, so you may need a 3UZ serpentine tensioner pulley bracket. The VVTi serpentine tensioner fits the non-VVTi engine without issue, however the non-VVTi timing cover that goes over it will need slight trimming if you go this route
    • Alternator: This will fit all 1UZ non VVTi, 1UZ VVTi, 2UZ, and 3UZ engines
    • Hydrofan bracket idler: Likely different from other UZ engines such as 1UZ VVTi
    • Upper idler: fits all 98+ UZs, including 1UZ VVTi, 2UZ, and 3UZ engines

    Some pulleys might fit your engine just fine but end up being a slightly different size/diameter. This may also change which sized belt you will need, so please keep that in mind when installing.

    For example, the Celsior non-VVTi engines (both UCF10 and UCF20) DO use a smaller diameter power steering pulley than the USDM American LS400. This would spin the pully faster and "overdrive" it. For drift, race and motorsport applications, we recommend the larger diameter pulley to underdrive it slightly.

    The Celsior non-VVTi power steering pulley is the same as the American spec SC400 one.

This specific listing is for the 90s style 3 pin oval connector. Please verify that you have this same oval style, and not the round 4 pin of some of the 2003+ UZ engines.

    This alternator also has an extra mounting rib that newer UZ engines added. On some UZs, you may need to machine this off. On all 1GZ V12s, you will need to machine off the extra mounting ear in order for it to fit properly. we have done this on ours and have been running it this way for over 3 years without issues. You will also need to swap over your old V12 pulley

  • 1UZ non-VVTi Performance Valve Spring Kit by BC Brian Crower Single Wound

    Please note these are only for the non-VVTi 1UZ engine. The 1UZ VVTi, all 2UZ, and all 3UZ engines should look at the SuperTech kit instead, as they have better fitment.

    This is the perfect solution for those looking to add more seat pressure for higher revs and larger cams in the UZ engine (non-VVTi and VVTI versions included).

    This single wound spring will work perfect with the factory retainer and keepers. Coil bind is an immense 550 thousandths. We also have an option to include titanium retainers for a non-VVTi 1UZ. Please note that we currently only have BC retainers for the non-VVTi 1UZ engines. The VVTi engines use a different kit.

    What does this mean? You can run more cam than the unmodified head will take! This spring is good to over 10,000 RPM with proper supporting mods. Seat pressure on standard 1UZ is 72 lbs, and in VVTi engines is 67 lb. Price is per set of 32 springs, for 1 complete engine.

    Head studs need to be torqued to 70 ft/lbs 

    If you are building a bullet proof UZ series V8, you will need the ARP Stud kits found here. If you're building a HIGH HP UZ, you'll definitely need this ARP2000 version. XAT Racing leads the world in Toyota/Lexus V8 parts! One of the most important and integral upgrades when squeezing more power out of the UZ engines is to go with better fasteners. We've developed a custom kit (not just reused other kits) to give your V8 a bit more room to work with safely, especially if you plan on boosting it! 

    What's important about these ARP studs? The factory bolts are torque to yield, meaning they are purposefully stretched after one use, and cannot be safely reused. These ARP studs can be used countless times in multiple engine builds, provided they are not stretched. Studs also give you a more solid clamping force over bolts. Check out the excerpt from ARP's catalog for an explanation we have in the pictures! 

    The added tensile strength of the ARP 2000 material lets you torque the studs down further, giving you even more protection from lifting the heads and/or blowing a head gasket, and is good for engines making 800+ HP

    You should not have to shave the head studs down for the scissor gears for the cams. We include washers for non-VVTi applications to make installation easier.

  • XAT Racing Pressure Plate Clutch Cover Bolts for 1UZ Manual Swap

    Although the picture shows 8 bolts, you will receive a full set of pressure plate bolts for your application. Make sure you have your correct application picked out! Some flywheels use 6, some use 9. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions

  • XAT Celsior UCF10 Hydrofan Pulley UCF11 1UZ non-VVTi JDM Toyota

    As it turns out, the UCF10 and UCF11 1989-1994 1UZ Toyota Celsior has its own dedicated pulley for the hydrofan. This is not interchangeable with the USDM LS400 pulley, this is for JDM engines only.

    In the interest of supplying as many parts for the UZ aftermarket, we had to complete the set and offer this one as well!
