Staged injection (where you run two individual injectors per cylinder) is great for applications that require lots of fuel, such as high horsepower Drag Cars, and is becoming more common in other motorsports and street use.
The G5 Voodoo Pro can run staged port injection and direct injection (DI). Having the 24 drives allows you to add supplementary port injectors to a DI engine to supply more fuel to reach your power goals or to prevent carbon deposit build up on your intake valves. Any left-over drives can be used as auxiliary outputs.
Direct Injection (DI) on up to 12 injection drives
The G5 Voodoo Pro is a cost-effective solution to opening up the world of both Port and Direct Injection. The G5 Voodoo Pro is capable of controlling Direct Injection on up to twelve injection drives, and requires an external OEM or aftermarket DI driver box. The G5 Voodoo Pro can run up to two DI fuel pumps using unused injection or ignition drives.
Built in Wi-fi
Built-in Wi-Fi means you don’t need to be physically connected to the ECU, or even in the vehicle or on the same side of the pit wall to pull logs and make changes. This means no more fighting through the roll cage and digging under the dash to find the ECU, before trying to plug in the cable while not breaking any pins.

Built-in Global Positioning System (GPS)
Link’s high accuracy, high frequency GPS allows you to log position, ground speed and UTC time for data analysis at 50 times a second using Link’s Sensor fusion augmented GPS Technology.
This can be used for coaching, especially when connected to a driver analytics tool like MyRaceLab. It also allows you to be creative around setting up features or functions against position, real time or GPS speed.
And Link’s GPS can operate as a vehicle speed sensor for vehicles that don’t have one, giving you an accurate ground speed, such as some race cars or boats. It can be used to easily calibrate wheel speed and to compare wheel and ground speed to determine if tire slip is occurring.
With Dead Reckoning, Link's GPS will continue to calculate position when GPS lock is lost such as in a tunnel, garage or dense bush.

You're going to need one of these with your standalone alongside a proper MAP sensor to have your engine and ECU communicate properly.
82mm Bosch Electronic Throttle Body. Although this wont bolt up to your Toyota engine, if you're going with a standalone engine management system and looking to maximize functionality in the modern world, this is a solid option!
There's no reason not to go with an OEM for a DBW throttle. They have done more testing and development on these than any non-OEM setup out there. Additionally, many companies like (Link) have onboard support built into their newest ECUs, making these basically plug and play!
Why Go Drive-by-Wire?
Much has changed since we first started seeing drive by wire throttles take over. The issues many have with drive-by-wire throttles tend to be entirely routed in factory electronics and tuning. When set up properly, you wont see or feel the obnoxious delays, hesitations, or driver nannies holding you back. There's actually quite a few benefits to a drive by wire setup with an aftermarket standalone computer! With a modern EMS and throttle, you can add all of the following to your vehicle, or at least improve functionality!

Link's highly anticipated PDM, the Razor PDM, is an intelligent Power Distribution Module that replaces traditional fuses and relays, putting you in complete control of your setup.
The Razor PDM is a programmable device that uses logic for the smart control of any outputs you have connected, meaning events and commands can be triggered when your vehicle hits specific parameters.
The device will allow you to manage things such as fuel pumps, radiator fans, electronic throttles, servos, lights and more, as well as monitoring analog or digital sensor signals.
You can gain full control by using an Analog Switch Panel, CAN Keypad or ECU to switch output channels, as well as increasing reliability and protecting your critical components from damage.
With superior thermal performance, the Razor PDM has been designed with vehicle protection in mind, while allowing for a more efficient, cleaner, and reliable build.
It may be small and compact, but the Razor PDM can handle up to 100 Amps of continuous combined current, as well as 160A of non-repetitive maximum current. If you need to manage even more power, you can easily add multiple Razor PDM’s via CAN or use as a CAN Expander to increase your inputs and outputs.
The Razor PDM has the ability to connect with many other ECU brands and CAN devices when using a custom CAN stream. Those of you with a Link ECU will be pleased to know that our software comes with a pre-configured stream, so your Link products will work with the device straight out of the box.

Although it's not ideal, we do have a custom made to order plug n play harness we can make for your 89-97 1UZ equipped car (SC400, LS400, etc.). The Link G4X AtomX ECU is made to run minimal inputs/outputs as a budget standalone option for 4 cylinder vehicles, however it is possible to use this same box to run batch fire injectors, and wasted spark ignition on a V8 like a 1UZ. Link even has a sample map in their PCLink software to speed up the process!
As an official Link ECU dealer, we can also supply the Atom itself, and any ancillary sensors you may need!
Please note the Atom is not currently capable of controlling the IAC valve, so you will have to run without one or find other ways to control idle. This is for manual transmission applications only. If you intend on keeping the auto transmission, you would need to run an external transmission controller, manual valve body, or find another way to control it.

Looking to run flex-fuel? Then the Ethanol Content Sensor is a must have. The Ethanol Content Sensor measures the ratio of ethanol to petrol in a flex fuel vehicle. This sensor also measures fuel temperature. Compatible with all current Link Wire-In and Plug-In ECU’s. Uses 1 Digital input on the ECU. The sensor is fitted to the vehicle’s fuel return line anywhere between the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel tank.

The Link CAN Gauge is a compact OLED gauge for displaying real-time data from your Link ECU’s CAN stream. Supported parameters such as boost pressure, air/fuel ratio, coolant temperature, fuel pressure, ethanol content, etc. can be displayed.
The high contrast OLED display is bright for interior use and dims at night. Configure 1, 2, or 4 gauge layouts on up to 10 different pages. Pages can be scrolled through using the easy to access front buttons. Powerhouse Racing has always been on the top of the world in creating solutions to common problems that occur with the 2jz engine. One common issue is the timing pickup will often separate from the main timing belt gear and spin independently of the timing gear, causing a trigger/sync error. This will cause running and timing problem. As a solution, they have built a one-piece gear to so that you would never have to face this issue.
Rather than welding the factory gear (which typically ends up messy), PHR has made the move to CNC a single-piece steel timing gear to offer an even stronger product. Zinc plated to prevent corrosion.
**NOTE FOR VVTi*** A 2JZ utilizing the VVTi system has a different timing gear with 36-2 tooth setup. It is a single piece and does not suffer from the same potential seperation issues. Meaning you may not need to change the gear on a VVT-i setup. However, the teeth on the VVTi version are brittle and do commonly break, so they have developed a billet version. It also has more defined edges which can provide a cleaner signal.
Some racers choose 36-2 for more resolution on their timing signal even on a non vvti setup. If youre running a standalone ECU, we strongly recommend swapping over to the VVTi's 36-2 tooth gear for the same price and getting a better read/signal for your computer!

Finally, a full harness for your V8 swap to make things much easier! We've done more than a few over the past decade, and now we're teaming up with the renown Dr. Tweak to offer a top shelf harness and their lifetime warranty!
These harnesses are all custom made for each individual application, so in many cases, we will need a core harness to start with. Expect to need to send in your UZ harness, as well as your intended chassis' factory engine harness, depending on which it is. Connectors typically do not get reused from the original harness'; we just need them to verify connector type and length as the UZ engines have a variety of harness differences depending on year and chassis.
Please contact us and let us know directly what your application will need regardless, and we'll be happy to get another UZ powered vehicle out there tearing it up!! As of right now, we only have support for automatic transmissions if you run the factory ECU for them.
Standalone applications will require a dual ECU setup in most newer 1998+ chassis'. On Toyotas specifically, the factory chassis ECU gets retained for MultiPlex compatibility, meaning the factory ECU will control the A/C, gauge cluster, throttle, auto transmission, ABS, etc. Feel free to reach out to us with what your swap is and we can make sure you get the right price and harness for your application!

The Link G4X StormX ECU is the latest version of our trusty, mid-sized standalone ECU. With eight injector and eight ignition drives, it allows sequential injection and direct spark on engines with up to eight cylinders or four rotors.
The StormX has all the upgrades of the AtomX and MonsoonX but offers more advanced tuning features like a built in Trigger Oscilloscope, Stepper Motor Idle Control, Rotary Oil Metering Pump Control, Onboard Knock Control, Open and Closed Loop Boost Control plus most Motorsport features including Full Gear Shift Control, Antilag and Launch Control.
The StormX has expanded data logging and is more responsive with a higher bandwidth than its G4+ Storm predecessor. G4X features 512 megabytes of logging at 32bit using up to 250 channels, each limited to up to 1kHz per channel (by the Operating System), with a maximum of 100 kSamples/sec.

The biggest, baddest, and best Link has to offer! This is overwhelmingly our favorite ECU to use. Unlike the AEM Infinity 7 series (708, 710, etc.), the Thunder is designed specifically out-of-the-box ready for Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband O2 sensors. It also is hundreds less, and unlike the Haltech Elite series, does not require external wideband controllers or thermocouple boxes for EGT!

The Xtreme is what we recommend for most UZ V8 customers who don't need all of the features of the Thunder or G5 Voodoo Pro. It offers peak and hold injection, e-throttle control, anti-lag, cruise control, traction control, etc.

The FuryX is a premium ECU like the XtremeX, but with added Onboard Digital Wideband Lambda Control. Now on the G4X platform, the FuryX features a faster processor, faster communications & a huge 512 megabytes of data logging!
With 8 injector drives and 6 ignition drives, the FuryX can control up to 3 rotors or 6 cylinders with sequential injection and direct spark, making it an excellent choice for professional level motorsport or more demanding road car applications.
The added benefit of a Onboard Digital Wideband Lambda Controller means higher accuracy of the unit, plus a simple setup.
