This is for a brand new in box OEM VVTi cam gear specifically for the JZ series engines. They can leak over time, and Toyota strongly advises not to disassemble them yourself. Instead, replace it altogether in order to keep the timing correct.
Fits 1JZ VVTi and 2JZ VVTi engines, both 2JZ-GTE and 2JZ-GE
Please note this does NOT work with any non-VVTi engine. There is a more involved process in converting an engine to run VVTi.
The only 2JZ cars to get VVTi before 1997/98 were in the Crown, Cresta, Mark II, and Chaser
