  • XAT Racing 8.5" Twin Disc Plate Clutch Kit 1UZ JZ CD009 V160 R154 etc

    This is a complete kit, with twin disc clutch assembly, install kit (ARP flywheel bolts, clutch hardware), button flywheel, and spacer as needed. 

    Which engine? Which transmission? All of them! 

    We have a version for your UZ engine, with Z33 / Z34 trans, R154, V160, or W58! The twin disc is recommended for 800rwhp cars for street/drift/endurance. The sintered metallic compound is one of the highest quality materials for clutches. This clutch has slots between the segments to help cool the clutch easier, and extra thick padding to last through an extreme amount of abuse! 

    All feedback for this clutch from our many customers over the years has been overwhelmingly positive. Clutch pedal isnt overly aggressive, it can still slip for street driving, yet has no problem holding gobs of power. Here at XAT, we often measure power in gobs. This kit holds "many" gobs. This is the 8.5 inch version we recommend most for street driven cars.

    The starter gear includes the ring gear needed to start the car. The much smaller button flywheel has much less rotating mass to deal with and works very well, but has no starter motor engagement. The base kit includes the button flywheel, with an option to have a full size flywheel and clutch combo. The assembled RaceLite clutch and flywheel weighs 22 lbs 14 oz.

    If this is your first time with an XAT clutch conversion, you will need the starter gear as well. Otherwise you can opt for the RaceLite flywheel instead and not need the starter gear or the button flywheel. You should be using a 3/4" master cylinder in tandem with the TOB we use.

    For this setup, XAT started completely from scratch, as nothing beats a purpose built billet part from the ground up! As we continue to partner up and offer more and more options for the increasingly popular Nissan 350Z/370Z 6 speed-known to handle over 800 HP at the wheels without opening it up, we continue to bring custom bespoke and billet parts to replace the aged V160 and R154 options. 

    These Nissan trannies have been proven that they are a stout and reliable trans that is inexpensive, readily available, and will be for many years to come. Although the early years proved to be troublesome with the CD001, CD003, and CD005 transmissions, by the CD008 and CD009 revisions, shifting has been improved, smoothed out, and solidified. The newer JK40C 370Z transmissions are also reported to have the same internals carried over from the CD009. 

    This will fit all versions of this transmission: CD001, CD003, CD005, CD008, CD009, JK41A, JK41B, JK40C, 1EA0A, and 1EA0B Our light weight flywheel is infinitely rebuildable with replaceable friction surface disc, and at just under 14 lbs, it feels right at home both on the street and at the track. Flywheel bolts get torqued to 80 ft lbs. Dont forget to do so in a cross pattern! Single disc clutch options will be anything "off the shelf" that fits the 300ZX turbo (Z32).

    This is the most aggressive single disk clutch kit from SPEC for manual transmission swapped 1UZ, 2UZ, and 3UZ Toyota/Lexus V8 engines, with a holding power of 670 ft.lbs! So if you make the big power, have nitrous or just like to run it very hard, then this is for you. Some light chatter and aggressive holding are common. Can be street driven if you don't mind the chatter. We strongly recommend opting for one of our twin or triple disc clutches at this power level. "Do it once, do it right!" Features a full-metallic disc with the highest possible friction co-efficient. Street drivable, but not street-friendly.     The SPEC Clutch Stage 2+ kit for manual transmission swapped 1UZ, 2UZ, and 3UZ Toyota/Lexus V8 engines uses a slightly more aggressive disc and is rated at 450 ft lbs of torque. Very streetable driving characteristics like the Stage 1 and 2, but with more holding power. 

    Features a multi-friction disc in a full faced configuration with carbon semi-metallic on one side and Kevlar on the other. Bridging the gap between stage 2 and stage 3, the 2-plus offers drivability and engagement quality characteristic of the stage 2, but with a 15-20% higher torque capacity.     Our 1UZ / 2UZ / 3UZ series V8 chromoly flywheel is made form some of the hardest, most durable metal we can source for a flywheel.

    Our machine shop gets mad every time we do a production run--they go on and on about how hard the alloy is, takes longer to machine, wears out tooling... Well that's great news if you're planning on abusing your V8!!! This flywheel will take some serious abuse without a doubt, and we have proven it ourselves in our personal cars over a length of time.

    Weighing in at just 11 LBS, you will instantly notice your V8 rev up and rev down much faster! This equates to a more responsive throttle, getting to the important parts of your powerband, and more efficient engine braking.

    Our flywheel utilizes the proven torque holding clutches of the SW20 MR2 TURBO 3S-GTE. We offer clutch setups to suit everything from a stock engine all the way to to 680 FT/LBS with this flywheel!

    When installing our flywheel: you will be required to install the OEM automatic bolt guide on the crank before installing the flywheel. This item is curved--the curve needs to face the engine and fit flat on the crank-to-flywheel mating surface. Please see pictures for more information as well. After installing the bolt guide, torque the included ARP bolt kit to 70 FT/LBS using red thread locker/loctite on the bolts, and tightening in a star pattern, not one next to the other. We also recommend tightening down in 2 or 3 goes as well instead of going from finger tight straight to 70 ft lbs.

    This flywheel is meant for our W55/W58, R150/R151, R154, KA, and SR transmission adapters. This will NOT work with our CD009 / JK series Nissan 6 speed adapter!

  • Clutchmasters FX400: UZ to Nissan CD009 Conversion RECOMMENDED

    If you're using one of our adapter plates to put a Nissan 6 speed behind your 1UZ, 2UZ, 3UZ, 1JZ, or 2JZ as well as our single disc flywheel, you'll need a clutch to put down that power too! This is the clutch we recommend for most conversions and applications that are sticking with a single disc setup.

    Rated for 480 ft lbs, but similar versions of this very same clutch has been popular for 600+ ft lbs builds for quite some time. We used this very clutch in the 2JZ '71 El Camino project we built. Smooth, stock pedal feel, and easily daily driveable, yet still capable of holding boosted V8 power.

    If you are using an adapter from a different company,we can likely still supply you with the clutch you need. You will need to verify what type of clutch your adapter uses, as not all CD009 adapters use the same clutch. If you're not sure, pleae reach out to us or your adapter's manufacturer.

    Transmission fitment includes CD001, CD003, CD005, CD008, CD009, CD00A, JK41A, JK41B, JK40C, 1EA0A, 1EA0B, and possibly more from any 6 speed Nissan 350Z, 370Z, Infiniti G35 and G37.

    Finally, a bolt-in clutch pedal bracket for LS400! Designed and produced in the Grindhouse skunk works, XAT Racing has just what you need to be doing clutch kicks in Grandpa's land yacht. This adapter uses a specific Wilwood clutch pedal with remote reservoir available from the dropdown menu! The end product is a 100% bolt-in assembly with many available cylinder bores and adjustable pedal engagement. Fitment has been confirmed on LHD UCF10 chassis (89-94 LS400) only. Contact us for UCF20 and rollcage-mounted options. Please keep in mind these are often made to order and may have a delay in producing them.   • Xcessive SC300 - SC400 Z30 Clutch Pedal Kit

    SC300 - SC400 Z30 Clutch Pedal Mount Kit with Pedal and New Master Cylinder and Banjo bolt kit Please note that the optional master cylinder with these kits is not ideal for our 1UZ/SC400 swap kits for W, R, or CD009 transmissions. You will need a 3/4" master cylinder with those.

    If you're doing a 5 speed or 6 speed swap on your SC chassis, you're going to need one of these. It's the only affordable, readily available clutch pedal that's a direct bolt in for the Z30 chassis requiring no modifications to the sheet metal on the car to mount it up, only some trimming on the sound deadening under the dash.

    The Z30 chassis had factory clutch options so there are good mounting points that they've utilized along with a Toyota Celica ('90 -'93) clutch master for a direct bolt in fitment that clears the Brake booster in the engine bay and sits the pedal nicely in the cab. The main bracket is formed 1/8" steel and the hanging pedal arm is 1/4" steel on a 12mm pivot.

    They've also provided all the bolting hardware for the clutch mount and the master cylinder hook ups including a banjo bolt for better clutch line fitment when using braided stainless line kits.

    This kit has an option for the clutch master cylinder, which is not ideal for our XAT swaps, since our kits require a 3/4" master cylinder. We also have clutch line kits for W58 and R154 transmissions.

  • XAT Quill Tube for Twin Disc Clutches on XAT Adapter Plates R154 W58 CD009

    We use this same quill tube on all of our adapter plates. Regardless of if you're using a CD009 Nissan 6 speed single disc adapter, updated short shaft R150, long shaft R154, or W58 plate, this quill tube will be what you need. Our plates are also drilled and tapped already to use the included set screws to retain it to the plate.

    This is a billet part, CNC machined to be a very tight fit with the plate. All Nissan 6 speed adapter plates use this, regardless of which clutch is being used. We include it with every adapter plate, but we also offer it by itself.

    Our R series (R150F, R154, R155, etc.) and W series plates (W55, W57, W58, etc.) have been machined to accept these since 2020, so installation is easy if you have an updated plate. You would only need this on a W or R plate if running a twin disc clutch.

    These Nissan trannies have been proven that they are a stout and reliable trans that is inexpensive, readily available, and will be for many years to come. Although the early years proved to be troublesome with the CD001, CD003, and CD005 transmissions, by the CD008 and CD009 revisions, shifting has been improved, smoothed out, and solidified. The newer JK40C 370Z transmissions are also reported to have the same internals carried over from the CD009. 

    This will fit all versions of this transmission: CD001, CD003, CD005, CD008, CD009, JK41A, JK41B, JK40C, 1EA0A, and 1EA0B Our light weight flywheel is infinitely rebuildable with replaceable friction surface disc, and at just under 14 lbs, it feels right at home both on the street and at the track. Flywheel bolts get torqued to 80 ft lbs. Dont forget to do so in a cross pattern! Single disc clutch options will be anything "off the shelf" that fits the 300ZX turbo (Z32).

    As a quick recap: You will need the JZ J3 automatic bellhousing, as well as our adapter kit (or SupraStore's), if you haven't converted already. We also have twin disc QuarterMaster clutches (7.25" and 8.5" twin disc) and flywheels. We offer a QM throw out bearing for fitment. The twin disc clutch kits do NOT use this flywheel, they use a "button flywheel" instead.

    The flywheel itself is 10.5 lbs, and the full weight of clutch and flywheel combination is 25 lbs.

    Custom made in house full size flywheel! This flywheel is meant to be an option with a full size ring gear, with extra mass and MOI to make for a more reasonable street driving setup when used with an XAT QuarterMaster 8.5" twin disc clutch

    This ONLY is made for the QM 8.5" twin clutch (not 7.25") and is NOT meant for single disc clutches. Made to fit 1UZ, 2UZ, and 3UZ engines with our manual swap conversion parts.

    Also includes ARP flywheel bolts and infinitely rebuildable friction surface with hardware. CLUTCH KIT NOT INCLUDED.
